Bringing clarity to the job site, professionalism to the closeout, and pride to the people who build things well.
The Problem
On a typical residential renovation, hundreds of product selections are made. That information passes through multiple hands : the designer who chose it, the project manager who coordinates it, the subcontractor who installs it, the client who lives with it. At every handoff, information gets lost. The wrong finish gets installed. The field crew doesn't know the design intent. The client receives nothing at the end of a $600,000 project. These failures are expensive, demoralizing, and almost entirely preventable.
What Prephase Does
Prephase captures every product selected for a project through a structured, cascading entry system that enforces data integrity at the point of input. It outputs two deliverables:
Job Site Packet -- one product per page, everything an installer needs: manufacturer, finish, SKU, design intent, rough-in dimensions, and a QR code linking to the install sheet. No ambiguity. No guesswork.
Closeout Packet -- delivered to the client at project completion. Every product in their home -- what it is, how to care for it, warranty information, and the owner's manual. A permanent material reference. A premium deliverable that signals craftsmanship and care.
Why It's Different
Most construction documentation tools are built by software companies that interviewed contractors. Prephase was built by a construction PM who lived the problem. Every decision in the tool reflects real field experience. It raises professional standards quietly, without argument, by simply requiring the work to be done right.
Current Status
A fully functional prototype has been built and tested. A complete technical brief, legal document package, and data asset documentation have been prepared. The tool is ready for a production hosted build.
